Universe & watchlist

The Universe page manages the two symbol lists your account runs on, plus a quick quote-lookup for checking any ticker against the active environment:

  • Trading universe: the symbols SleeveFolio ranks each run and may trade automatically. Stocks and crypto both belong here, and the editor shows a section for each: add stock tickers like AAPL under Equities, and coins like BTC under Crypto; a coin is stored as its BTC/USD trading pair (the coin plus the dollar side it trades against). Each section suggests matching symbols as you type, and every new stock ticker is checked against live price data on save (coins are checked against the built-in coin list), so a typo is rejected instead of sitting in your universe as a dead entry. Saving a change kicks off a fresh signal run automatically so the rankings reflect your new symbols within a minute or two. Advisory only: it re-ranks but never places trades off a just-edited list (auto-execute trades once a day after the market opens, never on a universe edit).
  • Filings watchlist: the symbols the filings feed tracks for 8-K filings (official announcements of major company events), insider trades, and earnings dates. Stocks only: crypto has no company filings to watch.

Universe size limits

The trading universe is tier-limited: 30 symbols on Free, 200 on Pro, counting stocks and coins together (there is no separate limit per section). The editor shows your plan ceiling as a hint; if you save a list that exceeds it, the save is rejected with a message telling you the maximum your plan allows. See Plans for the full tier comparison.

Editing the lists

Both editors are tag inputs with autocomplete: start typing a ticker (or coin name) and pick from the suggestions, or paste a comma-separated list and each entry becomes its own tag. The trading universe’s Equities and Crypto sections edit one shared list: a single Save button stores both sections together. Changes apply from the next signal run. Removing a symbol stops new signals for it but doesn’t touch any open position (close those from Positions or via the kill switch). Your universe is first filled in during onboarding; this page is its permanent home.

You can also add one symbol at a time from the lookup panel at the top of the page: search a stock or coin, then choose Add to universeunder the quoted price to drop it straight into your trading universe. An added symbol counts toward your plan’s universe limit like any other entry, gets the same price check on the way in, and kicks off the same automatic signal run as a saved edit. Adding a symbol that’s already in your universe changes nothing.

You don’t have to curate the list by hand. SleeveFolio can follow the published list for your strategy style instead: review the list’s rules once, and your universe then tracks it daily — adds, removals, and (while automatic trading is on) exits for symbols that leave the list, all through the normal safeguards. Opt in from the Universe page; symbols you added by hand stay yours unless you explicitly allow replacements.
