The mobile kill button

On mobile the kill switch is a persistent floating button that stays on screen on every authenticated page: mid-scroll, mid-form, always one tap. It steps aside only while the navigation menu or the stop screen itself is open, then reappears when you close them. It never collapses into a menu; that’s a product rule, not a layout accident.

What it opens

The floating button goes straight to the most severe lever: Liquidate. One tap opens the confirm screen, which still requires you to type the word LIQUIDATE before anything sells (the typed phrase is required on a phone keyboard too, deliberately). The two gentler levers, Pause and Cancel open orders, are one tap too, on a small pair of controls in the bottom-left corner (opposite the Liquidate button); while trading is paused, Pause reads Resume there. They’re also in the navigation menu’s Kill switch section as a second way in. Every stop is one tap — none is buried in a menu.

Touch details

The button and the controls it opens are comfortably finger-sized for accurate tapping, and the button sits clear of the bottom tab bar so a thumb reaching for navigation never lands on the stop control by accident.

You can press and drag the button to move it out of the way; it stays where you put it on this device, even after you navigate or come back later. A quick tap opens the stop screen; an actual drag just repositions it.
