Pause trading

Pause is the gentle lever: it halts auto-execution immediately and does nothing else. Positions stay. Orders already open at the broker stay. Signals keep computing — they just can’t trade.

When to reach for it

Anything that makes you want a breath: surprise volatility, drift you haven’t investigated (a mismatch between SleeveFolio’s records and your broker’s), a strategy change you want to review before it acts. Pause is free — un-pausing is the same one click, nothing to re-qualify.

How

The kill switch is one click from every authenticated screen — the trio in the top bar on desktop, the floating stop button on mobile — or ⌘⇧P from anywhere. The kill-switch event lands in your audit log and (by default) notifies you on every enabled channel.

What Pause is not

It doesn’t touch existing orders or positions. To cancel orders still open at the broker, use Cancel all open orders; to exit positions entirely, Liquidate.
