The Paper → Live gate
ON THIS PAGE
The Paper → Live screen is the checkpoint between simulated and real money. It runs two safety checks, computed fresh from your account’s current status every time the page loads. Both green, and the Enable Live panel appears.
The two checks
| Check | Passes when | Where to fix it |
|---|---|---|
| 2FA enrolled | An authenticator app is enrolled on your account | Settings → Account |
| Zero unresolved reconciliation drift | A completed broker check within the last 7 days shows no unacknowledged drift — or no check has run yet | Reconciliation |
Why only two?
Deliberately, no performance requirements — no minimum returns, no risk-score hurdle, no maximum-loss test, no minimum track record. It’s your money on your own broker; whether a strategy is “good enough” is your call, not ours. The gate guards only the two things that make live trading unsafe rather than merely unprofitable: an account that could be hijacked (no 2FA) and records we know don’t match the broker’s (drift).
What the gate is NOT
The gate is the safety half of going live, not the whole list. Flipping the switch also requires a Pro subscription in good standing and saved live keys — the enable-live ceremony walks the full set, and SleeveFolio re-checks everything on its own systems at the moment of the flip — the buttons you see are a hint, not the lock.
