Live keys & the gate

A common misconception, worth clearing up front: saving live keys is never blocked. The live card in Settings → Broker works exactly like the paper card — paste, verify, save — whether or not you’ve passed the gate, and on any tier.

What the gate actually blocks

Live order submission. Every order submission is checked by SleeveFolio itself against all the requirements at once — Pro subscription, billing in good standing, 2FA, and the safety gate passed. All must hold; no single one is enough. Keys in the vault don’t move money; orders do — so the lock sits on orders.

Storing live keys early is actually the recommended order of operations: it’s one of the prerequisites the enable-live ceremony checks, so having them saved means one less red row when you’re ready.
