Unresolved drift
ON THIS PAGE
Most drift (a mismatch between SleeveFolio’s records and your broker’s) resolves itself: the next 15-minute check syncs the missing fill or expired order and the card disappears. On your paper account it clears itself automatically — a paper divergence is harmless, so it’s recorded and auto-resolved. This page is for live drift that keeps coming back.
First moves
- Press Re-check now (top of the Reconciliation page) to run the identical sync without waiting for the next automatic 15-minute check (it needs your Alpaca keys for whichever environment you’re in — paper or live — connected; if none are saved it will point you to Settings → Broker for that environment)
- Follow Investigate on the drift card: it lands on the exact Positions or Orders view that explains the mismatch
- Check the Alpaca dashboard: manual trades, corporate actions (splits, symbol changes), and dividend shares all create legitimate divergence SleeveFolio didn’t originate
Benign vs. real
Drift you can explain (you traded manually, a split changed share counts) is benign: acknowledge it and move on (the acknowledgment covers only that exact mismatch, so it can’t blanket future surprises). Drift you can’t explain deserves suspicion: treat it as a real records problem, not an annoyance to acknowledge away.
Still stuck
Persistent re-alerting drift on the same symbol usually means an outside process keeps changing the account; another tool with the same keys is the classic culprit. Give SleeveFolio dedicated keys and the loop stops.
