Tour the dashboard

The dashboard is the read-everything screen: portfolio value and profit-or-loss up top, the equity curve beside your sleeve split, and the three activity cards underneath. Here’s each piece and where its numbers come from.

Portfolio hero

The hero shows three figures: net asset value (what everything in your account is worth right now), unrealized profit-or-loss (gains and losses on positions you still hold), and realized profit-or-loss over the last 30 days (gains and losses locked in by completed sales, after fees). Net asset value and unrealized profit-or-loss read live from your Alpaca account in the active environment; the 30-day realized figure is calculated from your recorded fills. The small “today” figure beside net asset value is your change since the market last opened today; on a day the market is closed (a weekend or holiday) it reads $0, because nothing has traded yet, rather than carrying over the last open day’s result. A turnover and average-holding-period row sits below the chart. If no broker keys are saved yet, the dashboard shows its not-configured state with a link to Settings → Broker.

Equity curve

Your account value over time, built from daily snapshots, with a dotted S&P 500 line (tracked via SPY, a fund that follows the index) overlaid for comparison; the key at the right end of the turnover row names both lines. The 1W · 1M · 3M · YTD · 1Y · ALL buttons at the top right switch the time window (default 1M). Like every chart in SleeveFolio, it includes a hidden table version for screen readers and honors your device’s reduced-motion setting.

Sleeve allocation

How your account splits across the three sleeves (equities, crypto, and cash), shown against default reference bands. Each sleeve’s row shows both its dollar value and its percent of the account, so the cash sleeve doubles as your at-a-glance cash balance. The link opens Risk & Caps, where you set your own sleeve budgets.

Top positions, top signals, recent orders

• Top open positions: your largest holdings with current profit-or-loss; the full table lives on the Positions page
• Today’s signals: the top-ranked symbols from the latest signal run, each tagged buy, hold, or sell
• Recent orders: your newest orders, one row each, the same source and unit as the Orders page, so the two never disagree on count

Every card opens its full page on click. The header also carries a freshness chip showing how old the numbers are (it turns stale when data stops flowing), and the top bar pairs the persistent PAPER / LIVE badge with your FREE / PRO plan badge; those, the kill switch, and the disclaimer footer frame all of it on every screen.
